precision-focused dental implant treatment

Missing teeth can affect your ability to chew, speak, and smile with confidence. While bridges and dentures provide solutions, dental implants offer the most durable, long-lasting replacement by mimicking natural teeth. These titanium posts fuse with the jawbone, creating a stable foundation for crowns, bridges, or full-arch restorations.

At Diamond Dental Service in Lake Zurich, we place implants ourselves rather than sending you to an outside surgeon. Your evaluation, your 3D CBCT scan, the placement, and the final crown all happen in our office at 1289 S Rand Rd. One team, one chart, one set of records.

We perform the entire dental implant process in-office, using 3D CBCT imaging and guided surgery for precise placement and efficient care — no outside referrals needed.

how long do dental implants typically last?

With good care, dental implants can last decades or even a lifetime. The crown on top may need replacement after 10–15 years.

is the procedure painful?

Dental implant placement is done under local anesthesia or sedation, making it virtually painless. Most patients report only mild soreness afterward.

does dental insurance cover dental implants?

Coverage varies widely by plan. We accept most PPO plans and Medicare (not Medicaid), and we verify your benefits before treatment so you know what yours pays before you start. If you're uninsured, financing through CareCredit and Cherry and our membership plan can bring the cost down.

am I eligible for dental implants?

If you have healthy gums and sufficient jawbone, you're likely a candidate for our Lake Zurich dental implant treatment. If needed, we also offer bone grafting in-office.

how long does the dental implant process take?

Most dental implant cases take about 3 to 6 months, including healing time and final crown placement for full restoration.

am I a candidate for dental implants?

Two things matter most: healthy gums and enough jawbone to hold the post. The ADA’s general guidance is that implants are an option for patients in good overall health. Untreated gum disease, active infection, or bone that has resorbed after a tooth has been missing for years will all need to be addressed first.

Thin bone is not a dead end. We perform bone grafting in-office, so if your scan shows you need more volume before placement, you are not sent elsewhere for it. The only way to know where you stand is a scan and an exam.

what happens during dental implant treatment?

We take a step-by-step approach to ensure the best results, from your initial consultation to final restoration.

  • Comprehensive evaluation: We use 3D CBCT imaging to assess jawbone health and plan dental implant placement.
  • Precise surgical placement: Computer-guided technology ensures accurate, minimally invasive dental implant positioning.
  • Healing and integration: Over several months, the dental implant fuses with your jawbone for lasting stability.
  • Final restoration: A custom crown, bridge, or denture is secured for a fully functional, natural-looking smile.

what is recovery like after implant surgery?

Most patients go back to work the next day. Expect some soreness, swelling, and tenderness around the site for the first few days, which is what you would feel after most oral surgery. The ADA suggests sticking to soft foods, cold foods, and warm soup while the area heals. We send you home with written aftercare instructions and a number to reach us if anything feels off.

The longer part of recovery is invisible. Bone takes time to fuse to the implant, sometimes several months, and you will not feel it happening. We check in during that window to confirm the integration is on track before we place your final restoration.
